However, mp3 links are unlimited so this will not be affected. |
Now that is music to my ears. I just may get in the code and put up a red flag saying uploads disabled please use url or something of that such.
Could that be an option instead of recoding the whole thing to do what I suggested? Maybe add a switch to add right next to uploads that they are disabled, and right next to the URL say this feature is enabled? I think that would idiot proof it in it's own kind of way. I'm not bashing users but anyone who runs a website FULLY understands the common user.
Im not sure if switches are any easier so I'll shut up now _________________ http://radio.mweva.com

Well in the next version I plan to add functionality that lets users know how many tracks they can upload, whether they have the global upload limit, or a user specific limit.
There is a case for adding some functionality that informs the user if uploads are disabled (uploads = 0), and maybe even disabling the upload box. But all of that wont be added until version 0.2.0.
Good shout though! |

Has anyone else ran into upload issues? File size wise? We all know that php lets us upload up to 2.5 mb to the server. Sooooo I got on to my server and edited my php ini file to allow uploads of 10 mb. I then go back to the mps auto mp3 config in the ACP and change the file upload size to 10000000 and yet still I can not upload anything higher then 2.5 mb
Sooo once again I go back to my php ini file on my server and look and sure enough it is set to 10mb upload allowed. I save my file again and then I rebooted the entire server. Let it come back up, go to site and sure enough nothing larger then 2.5 mb will upload.
Is this the mod or my server? And no, I cant go talk to my host and ask them to fix it as I am the host Like I said, it is a dedicated box that I have in new jersey. _________________ http://radio.mweva.com

My settings are the same as yours (10000000) but it's working.
Is there another way that you can test the 10mb php upload to your server?
That way you can see if the problem is limited to the Auto MP3 script. _________________ www.morrisania.com

actually there is. I actually should have tested it first before posting. If I would have only thought about it first My sleep has been horrible lately and my thinking is clouded. Dam doctors and these pills they give out now days
Yeah I'll go check that out right quick and see what the results are.
**EDIT**
So yeah as expected upload failed at 8.5 megs. So it is infact a php setting on my server. I forgot when I changed the setting in my ini file that i had to set the post_max_size to higher then the upload limit. all is well on the home front now _________________ http://radio.mweva.com

View Your Player Option Doesn't Keep Settings
I love the new View Your Player option that allows members to access their player while on the main/home MPS page.
However, when you click the View Your Player link, the player doesn't keep your "Auto Start" or "Repeat" settings. It simply plays one song then stop.
It does keep the color settings though. _________________ www.morrisania.com
